It is a pleasure to extend my warm greetings to all students, faculty members, and visitors to our institution. My academic journey spans more than four decades, during which I have had the privilege of serving in leading national and international universities — including the National Defence University Islamabad, University of Sargodha, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, and as the Quaid-e-Azam Professor at the University of California, Berkeley.

I hold a PhD from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and my major academic interests lie in International Law and the Use of Force, Peace and Conflict Studies, Conflict Resolution, and Foreign Policy Analysis. Over the years, I have supervised more than 20 PhD and MPhil scholars and have published over 52 research articles in recognized national and international journals. I have also contributed to higher education policy as a long-standing member of the HEC National Curriculum Committees in International Relations and Peace & Conflict Studies. I am also on the BOGs of South Asian Studies Centre University of the Punjab and the Centre of Middle East Studies Quetta.

As Rector, my vision is to nurture an academic environment grounded in integrity, intellectual curiosity, and excellence. I am committed to strengthening research culture, modernizing academic practices, and enabling our students to become responsible, enlightened, and globally aware professionals.

Together, we can shape a learning community that not only imparts knowledge but also inspires character, creative and critical thinking, and service to society. I look forward to working with all of you in advancing the mission of this institution.
