A Degree Awarding Institute
Established Under Govt. of the Punjab
Act XXX of 2025
Patron - Sardar Saleem Haider Khan

It is highly encouraging to see that the Government of Pakistan has undertaken reforms in higher education to address the demands of the 21st century. In its mission to unlock the vast potential of the world’s second youngest population, the current leadership remains committed to a "human capital" approach to education. Expanding access to quality educational institutions is viewed as a critical step in harnessing this potential, a priority also reflected in the party’s manifesto. To advance this agenda, a national task force on education, comprising experts from diverse sectors, has been established. I have firm belief in a famous quote of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, that:

"Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students, who are nation builders of tomorrow. They must fully equip themselves by discipline, education, and training for the arduous task lying ahead of them."

Educational institutions play a vital role in the process of nation-building by driving research, encouraging critical thinking, and preserving the academic and cultural values that shape a society. They contribute to the advancement of knowledge, cultivate informed and thoughtful citizens, and uphold the traditions and intellectual heritage that define a nation. I am delighted to observe the growing contributions of private sector institutions to higher education, especially in Southern Punjab. The Government of Punjab has taken commendable steps to encourage private sector participation in establishing educational institutions. In today’s rapidly evolving world, there is a pressing need for more such institutions to ensure the provision of quality education and to cultivate a strong culture of research and innovation. In this regard, the Next Institute of Science and Technology, Multan, a degree-awarding institution, possesses significant potential to address the challenges of the 21st century and to support Pakistan’s development across multiple fields.

The mission of The Next Institute of Science and Technology, Multan is well-aligned with the innovative policies introduced in the higher education sector. The Institute has fostered strong and meaningful partnerships with industry and service sectors, ensuring its academic programs remain relevant, forward-looking, and responsive to the ever-changing needs of the time. I am confident that the Institute will continue to deliver high-quality education to Pakistan’s youth in a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment.

I warmly congratulate the Chairperson Board of Governors of The Next Institute of Science and Technology and his team on the reconstitution as Degree Awarding Institute (DAI) and extend my best wishes for their continued success in the future.
